The Pulmonary Hypertension Research Group stands out to AHA 2017
During the American Heart Association congress which was taking place November 11-15th 2017, 3 members of Pulmonary Hypertension Research Group standed out:
- Dr Benoît Ranchoux has been finalist to the prestigious Cournand and Comroe award for his presentation on a new pre-clinic model on pulmonary hypertension after a cardiac disease.
- Dr Junichi Omura received the ATVB Travel Award for Young investigator on his presentation on ADAMTS8 in promotion of pulmonary hypertension and heart failure.
- Caroline Lambert received the 3CPR Travel Award for her presentation of the role of transcription factor FOXM1 in PAH.

During American Heart association Meeting in November 2016, Dr Olivier Boucherat has been named as a finalist for the Cournand and Comroe Award. This Awards recognize the research and achievements of early career researchers and encourage them to continue their research in biomedical sciences.
Leadership Award from American Thoracic Society/Rino Aldriguetti
In June 2016, Dr Olivier Boucherat received the leadership award from American Thoracic Society/Rino Aldrighetti. The Rino Aldrighetti program, named in honour of the first president of the association of pulmonary hypertension, provides career support to young researchers who have a strong and sustained impact in pulmonary hypertension research.
ENTELLIGENCE Young Investigator Award
At the American Thoracic Society Conference held in May 2016, Dr Boucherat received the ENTELLIGENCE young investigator Award. ENTELLIGENCE is a program for basic science, translational, and clinical research in the field of cardiopulmonary medicine.
The program provides opportunities for individual young investigators to promote quality medical care and enhance patients’ lives by supporting research in pulmonary hypertension (PH) related to expanding our knowledge of the pathways involved in pulmonary vascular pathobiology.

Jolyane Meloche is the proud recipient of the Oral Presentation Award – Pulmonology Axis at the Heart and Lung Institute Research Center Scientific Days, held on June 1 and 2, 2015.
Dr Bonnet receives ERS Research Award 2015
Dr Bonnet will receive the Amsterdam Congress Program Committee’s ERS Prize in Pulmonary Hypertension on September 27, 2015 for his project entitled: “Comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to study the molecular mechanism of right ventricule (RV) failure in PAH.” A grant of 36,000 euros will be offered to the Institution.
Dr Bonnet receives the Louise Rousselle-Trottier Award from HSF
On November 20, Dr. Sébastien Bonnet won the Louise Rousselle-Trottier Award.
This award was presented by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Quebec for its study entitled “Role for DNA damage signaling in Pulmonary Hypertension”.
This award of excellence is presented to a researcher who has achieved the highest evaluation score in a hypertension research project.

The Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS) Award for the best oral presentation at the Scientific Days of IUCPQ Research Center was awarded to Mr François Potus, doctoral student under the supervision of Dr Sébastien Bonnet, for its presentation entitled ” Role of miR-126 in right heart decompensation in pulmonary arterial hypertension”.
During these research days, 34 oral presentations and 68 posters presentations were made by students and research professionals.
